Utah Jazz (11-7) @ Minnesota Timberwolves (2-17)

Notes:
-The Jazz have won 4 straight (all at home) and saw their 6-game homestand come to an end last night.
---> They took care of the Pacers, though it became ugly late as the Jazz shut down after the 1st quarter.
-The Wolves have lost 2 straight, and are a miserable 1-9 at home.
-CJ Miles returned last night, though he looked a bit slow and missed everything.
---> The Wolves welcomed back Kevin Love against the Hornets yesterday.
---> Unlike Miles' 0-fer, Love had a double-double in 24 minutes.
-Wes Matthews is amazing. And he plays defense.
---> Danny Granger last night reminded me of T-Mac. And not in a good way.
-Carlos Boozer has been on a roll as of late.
-The Timberwolves currently are the team for ex-Jazzster Aleksander 'Sasha' Pavlovic.
---> He actually gets playing time.
---> They also have ex-Jazzster Jason Hart, but he's only played in 1 game this season.
-They spent the entire off-season collecting PGs. Now they don't know which one to use.
---> Flynn starts. Sessions comes off the bench. Hart sucks. Rubio's still in Europe.
-CP3 had a near triple-double against the Wolves last night.
---> This after missing a ton of games with injury. And being scoreless at the half.

Should the Jazz ever need to bench Booze, you can look to Elton Brand to see what type of response you might get.
"No, of course not...I don't accept it...I don't think I have done anything to merit a bench spot."

The Nets finally won a game last night, taking care of the Bobcats. Their new coach is 1-0, largely because he waited until AFTER the Western Conference road swing to take over. Nice. Padding stats, I guess. Kinda like Don Nelson, who adds wins to his career record... while the assistant coach is coaching the Warriors.

I suppose we should get used to this. Despite facing a Jeff Foster/Roy Hibbert duo, neither Kosta Koufos nor Kyrylo Fesenko got off the bench last night. I mean, I guess it could be because both Foster & Hibbert sucked last night. Or because the Jazz still can't hold a lead. I guess we should get used to that. The Koof will probably end up in the D-League soon, and I wonder whether or not Fesenko will be back next season. The Jazz can't afford to give money to guys that Slow will never play, especially with worries about the luxury tax and all.

LeBron James is "a b****", according to Joakim Noah. Where do I stand on the debate? I agree with Noah... LBJ & his antics are getting old. Just play the game, and stop whining.

So, the refs in the Pacers/Jazz game yesterday seemed to decide that it is perfectly legal to travel as long as 2 guys from the same team are holding onto the ball (with it resting on the neck of one of the players). The Jazz should try that. Put the ball on Booze's neck, and have him & AK both with hands on the ball. Then walk all the way down court, and let AK dunk it in. Simple.

One day, Paul Millsap is going to explode at the officiating and just deck a ref. And I am just going to sit there and laugh at the unfortunate fool who decided to never call a foul when Millsap gets hammered. He had it coming. (Note to what's wrong with the NBA... if that had been Kobe Bryant, it would've been a foul. Shouldn't it be a foul no matter who receives the hit?)

Deron Williams is shooting 70% from the FT line. That's bad... AK came back last night, and decided to start launching shots as soon as he entered the game. Of course, he missed most of them... E3 is a PG. Which makes his 5 fouls in 13 minutes almost inexplicable. He also went just 2-8 from the field in that time, but did have 5 assists... AK missed most of his shots, and did little else. Brewer missed most of his shots, but added 6 steals & 6 boards. Advantage: Brewer...

Timberwolves love... TWolves Blog & Canis Hoopus.
