steal  [steel] verb, stole, sto·len, steal·ing, noun
–verb (used with object)
1. to take (the property of another or others) without permission or right, esp. secretly or by force
 2. a sleight used to obtain an object (or game) secretly.

Deron Williams and his band of Merry Men got away with one tonight. The Jazz had no right winning this game. It was over. Done. The Jazz had committed a season high 25 turnovers, were 3-13 from beyond the arc, had only 7 offensive rebounds, and their leading scorer had 15 pts...and yet they walk away with the W. Thievery I tell you....Thievery.

The game was ugly. It was slow. It was full of borderline D-League All-Stars. Both teams had their stars hobbling around the court in desperation trying to be the difference maker. Not sure how the Jazz pulled it off, but if I am a Sacto fan, I am livid that the Kings couldn't close out an injury riddled Jazz team...at home. So much for Arco being a difficult place to win. Other than the Jackass sitting right behind Booner and Bolerjack, the crowd was small and distant from the action. I fully expected Boozer to turn around and bust the guys during his interview with Bolerjack.

When your team is as banged up as the Jazz, a win is a win and you walk away with anything you can get your hands on. Nice win Men...in Tights.

This is how bad it got. My wife was yelling at the TV during the first half and she did not even know if the Jazz were the white team or the blue team. I loved that Sloan glued CJ's ass to the bench in the 4th quarter as well, he were playing like crap and is going to lose his playing time to Morris Almond if he doesn't start picking it up again. But like you said CB, with this MASH unit version of the Jazz a win is a win and you take it gladly.

Speaking of Morris Almond, the Jazz better trade him for something this year so he doesn't just get away for nothing. Get a late first rounder for him at least.

Completely agree. I thought Almond played like he wanted to get traded last night.

I found a new "throw up a little in your mouth when he shoots" guy. With all the talk about Kosta Koufos having range for a big man, he sure has shot a lot of 12-15 foot airballs.

Just rebound and block shots Koufos. That's it.

I was actually begging for Jerry to bring Jose Ortiz and Giricek off the bench last night it was getting so bad. I still don't know how we won that game. Total mystery.

Dude, thanks for making a reference to the guy behind Boler. I was watching the game with my kids, and was nervous the guys was going to go off on a huge f-bomb rant. (yes, I am a horrible Father watching the game with my children at 10pm but it's good for them.) The funny thing is was that I started to get pissed at him. He yelled something like, you suck Jazz, and was complaining about the foul on RP3PO towards the end of the quarter...you know, right before Morris Almonds dip sh#@ foul of the century. Good night. But anyway, the guy was going off on the refs about that foul and I wanted to break through the television and kill him. Is that a little too harsh?
