Power Rankings

K-Fes is making the most of his minutes, but the question of the day is, who is the other Jazz man in this pic?

I was finally brave enough to look at this weeks Power Rankings. I've been avoiding them for the last few weeks because I didn't want to scroll down to the bottom of the page before I saw the Jazz logo. I knew it wasn't going to be pretty so I didn't bother with it at all. This week, I figured after a win at home, tough loss at Houston and then another win last night, we might be alright. Here is what I found.

CNNSI

I respect our position here but I do not respect the fact that Milwaukee is ranked higher than us. Yes, they beat us in Milwaukee. But, please, give me a break. 14-17, should not be ranked higher than an 18-14 team or the Heat at 16-13.

ESPN

This is a little bit closer to my thoughts. (Not that they matter...I still think the Utes should play in the National Championship and the Patriots never cheated.) However, two things I like here. Jazz over the 14-17 Bucks and the Jazz over the Pistons. Yes, the Pistons have a better record and I am contradicting myself from the statement above, but we own the Pistons and you cannot argue that.

After the battle in Houston and the effort last night I am happy with the Jazz right now. Yes, no fan should be happy with their team out of the playoffs right now and ranked 15th in the Power Rankings, but I think we are getting everything we can from this team....well, at least we have the last few games. Sloan is coaching, D-Will is nearly back to his old self and the supporting cast is holding their own. I'm going to be realistic, I'm not expecting to beat the Lake-Show Friday, but if we do, this cowboy will shave K-Fes's # in the back of his head. All I want from Friday's game in L.A. is 1. Hairnet to get blocked out of the building by the Koo, Fes and/or Brevin Knight and 2. Kobe to stick up for someone over a moral issue of some sort. Go Jazz......and Go Utes!

Why the hell is your brother not writing for this blog? Sign him up. Maybe in a sign in trade with Pick 'N Roll? That's right, where you at Roll? Where you at?

Kobe wouldn't stick up for his own mother if she were battling something like, lets say, child abuse. But holy hell look out if the fans in Utah boo Benedict-Derek Fisher.
